The substrate is a soft, flexible polyester (PET) non-woven fabric that drapes easily around the limb and provides a gentle contact surface for short-term patient use. One side is coated with a uniform layer of PVC, forming an airtight barrier that holds inflation pressure steadily and can be sealed by high-frequency (HF) or thermal welding into bladders and cuff seams. Because the fabric is intended for single-patient, single-use applications, it helps reduce the risk of cross-contamination between patients and removes the need for cleaning, disinfection and re-sterilisation between uses. The material also cuts, welds, prints and assembles efficiently on high-speed converting lines, making it a practical and economical choice for the large volumes required by hospitals, clinics, emergency departments and home-care settings. It is suitable for constructing the inflatable bladders and outer bands of disposable blood pressure cuffs, single-use NIBP cuffs, disposable tourniquet-style cuffs and other single-use pneumatic medical devices.
